Ainslie's Life Cycle

Our main event for 2016 was Ainslie's Lifecycle - a sponsored bike ride from Moffat in Scotland to Swindon. The route passed through the places of major importance in Ainslie's life. The start is at Moffat hospital, where she was born. It continued via Keele University in North Staffordshire, which is where she and Phil met. The finish was just outside Swindon in Wiltshire, via Blunsdon St Leonards Church, where they were married, and also All Saints Church, Lydiard Millicent, where her funeral was held. All told, 370 miles or so...and the ride was completed in four days, starting on Monday, August 29 and ending on Thursday, September 1. Phil and Alex were riding alongside family friends Chris and Nik Voss and Andy Wakeley. These five were joined by Kev Smith and Tayler Aitken on the final day. We would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to support us and a huge thank you to our sponsors and everyone who donated. We exceeded our target of raising £10,000 and are extremely grateful.

5p Collection
